I recently completed the Ride for Country Kids 2026 🚴♂️💙
Over three incredible days, our group rode more than 300km through regional NSW to help raise vital funds for children living in rural and remote communities.
This experience is hard to put into words – the people, the challenge, the communities we met along the way. It’s something you can only truly understand once you’ve been part of it.
But what’s clear is why we ride.
In rural and remote Australia:
• 60% of children are not developmentally on track to start school
• There are far fewer psychologists available – just 25 per 100,000 people compared to 138 in metro areas
• Families can wait 18 months to 6 years to access paediatric care
That gap is real – and it’s why Royal Far West’s work matters so much.
Together, we’ve raised over $430,000 (and counting!) to help ensure more country kids can access the care they need to thrive.
