Join the Royal Far West Spin Off!
Manly Beachfront – Thursday 6 Nov 2025
This year marks a major milestone for Royal Far West – 100 years of caring for country kids. To celebrate our 100-year anniversary and our deep connection to the Manly community, we’re proud to launch the Spin Off Challenge!
The Spin Off Challenge is a high-energy, purpose-driven event that brings together local businesses, community leaders and passionate individuals to raise vital funds for country kids in need. Set against the stunning backdrop of Manly Beach, the Spin Off Challenge is a stationary bike ride with a difference.
It’s not about lycra or elite cycling – it’s about coming together for a cause, showcasing your organisation’s values, and making a real impact in the lives of children growing up in rural and remote Australia.
We're aiming to raise $100,000 to directly support the health and wellbeing of Australia's country kids.
We need your help to give these children the best start in life.
Why ride with us?
A life in the country is a life beyond the ordinary. But for country kids, facing developmental and mental health challenges, isolation and distance can make it hard to access the specialist help they need.
Data shows that 190,000 children living in very remote areas are up to twice as likely to start school developmentally vulnerable compared to their urban peers. The evidence is irrefutable: where you live matters, and it’s critical that we ensure every child, regardless of their location, receives the services and care they need.

At Royal Far West, we believe kids growing up in regional and rural Australia deserve the best opportunities too. We provide specialist developmental and mental health services to children who would otherwise go without. Through our in-person programs in Manly, in-community visits and our innovative virtual care services, we’re helping thousands of country children every year.
To reach every country kid who needs us, we need you.

Who we ride for
Andy's Story
Andy is a bright, resilient seven-year-old from Far West NSW who loves sports and learning but sadly faced significant developmental challenges.
His struggles with anxiety, inattention, hyperactivity, emotional outbursts and sensory issues made his everyday life more difficult.
While Andy was fortunate to receive an initial diagnosis locally, the lack of follow up support services meant he had no access to ongoing occupational therapy and speech pathology, putting his progress and future at risk.
Thankfully, because of generous donors, Andy’s story took a turn for the better. His mother, Joan, reached out to Royal Far West, and in April 2024 Andy underwent a comprehensive multi-disciplinary assessment at our Centre for Country Kids in Manly.
