On 15th May, I’ll be setting off on my 5th Ride for Country Kids — and I’m writing to ask for your support.
Over the past four years, my other generous sponsors have helped me raise $27,505. That’s a huge number — and it’s changed real lives. I’ll share how in a sec.
But first, the ride.
This Year’s Challenge:
380km over 3 days through far west NSW, from Bourke to Narromine — dusty roads, remote towns, and a journey steeped in history. This year marks 100 years of Royal Far West, the incredible charity we’re riding for.
Why does this matter?
Because behind every kilometre are kids who are struggling.
Kids in the bush with undiagnosed autism
Kids with developmental delays who can’t access basic care
Kids whose trauma after bushfires and floods still runs deep
I’ve met these families on the ride. I’ve heard their stories. And I’ve seen how Royal Far West changes lives.
So where does the money go?
Here’s what $10,000 can fund:
Two children + their families get to Manly for a week-long intensive program, including paediatricians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists. These programs bridge the funding gap where government and NDIS support fall short — and they work.
Or, that same amount funds disaster recovery programs in schools — helping kids still suffering after natural disasters learn to regulate their emotions and reconnect with their education and community.
